Looking beyond the Nordics you will hear about the global industry for bilberry bio-extraction from Qingyi Ning and Jiajing Yu, who will discuss the development of this lucrative industry and avenues for Sweden to become more active in this area.

Also looking at berry bio-extracts, Minglu Zou will give an overview of the strategies being used in the marketing of berry based health supplements around the world, discussing trends such as storytelling and influencer marketing, and how such strategies could be used to market berry based food and drink products.

Additionally, the seminar will provide some unique insights into an Indian system perspective on legume production. Abhimanyu Harish and Ujjwal Muniraju will present the incentive-based system and policy-backed strategies implemented to promote legume farming in India. They will also share some noteworthy input on how Sweden could learn from the Indian system of legume production.

Finally, Ella Karlsson and Malin Rydén will present their research focusing on the scale-up process of food-tech start-up Mycorena; the unique circumstances of starting a business in the food industry, and the challenges related to business model innovation and the process of
